The development of infrastructure for poor urban settlements in Argentina has received a US$ 400 million boost from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The loan, which was awarded to the Argentinian Ministry of Federal Planning, Public Investment and Services, will help to fund the construction of basic services including water and sewage networks, electricity, infrastructure, storm drains, gas distribution and access roads in 70 poor urban settlements.
The project is planned to benefit 280000 low-income residents.
