Commissioned by the US Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), the work is part of the Enhanced Integrated Air and Missile Defense (EIAMD) programme and will be carried out in South Finegayan, just south of Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz.
The scope includes mass earthwork, structural concrete, water and electrical utilities, a new fire pump and security building, and installation of power generation systems to support future defence infrastructure. The site spans roughly 120 acres.
Granite said the joint venture will install more than 60,000 linear feet of underground duct banks and place around 110,000 cubic yards of earthwork. Other elements include 11,000 ft of water main, 7,400 cubic yards of concrete, and installation of a 220,000-gallon steel water tank.
The project was awarded under the multi-year Facilities and Infrastructure Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC), through which Granite and Obayashi have already completed several early works packages.
Construction is expected to begin this month and finish in July 2028.
