Polish plant for Donaldson
08 July 2013
Filtration systems manufacturer Donaldson is to construct a new plant in Skarbimierz, Poland, to serve its European and Russian customers.
The new filter plant will be 10,000m2, with additional capacity for future expansion, said the company.
The facility will be dedicated to the production of heavy duty air filters for both the on-road and off-road equipment markets.
This new Polish plant, expected to open in 2015, will be Donaldson's third plant in the Central and Eastern Europe region. It said its successful Czech Republic operations were started in Klášterec in 2003 followed by Kadaň in 2006.
Wim Vermeersch, vice president, Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa, said, "We are very pleased to add this new, state-of-the-art facility to our extensive manufacturing and distribution base in Europe and have appreciated the ongoing support of the Polish government and local Skarbimierz officials.”
He said that based on the company's strategic growth plan, the new plant would allow Donaldson to increase its filter manufacturing capacity further to meet the projected OEM and aftermarket customer demand throughout Europe and Russia.
Donaldson has more than 140 sales, manufacturing, and distribution locations around the world.
