South Korea:Amec is to construct and fund 45% of a six lane,12.3 km long new bridge between the city of Incheon and Incheon International Airport in South Korea. The remaining 55% of the US$ 1.25 billion link will funded by the government and will be the first infrastructure project in the country to be financed and constructed by a foreign contractor. Work on the bridge is expected to start later this month and is scheduled for completion in late 2009. Once complete the link will cut journey times between Incheon and the airport by up to 50 minutes.
