During the Economic Forum at this year's CECE Congress, delegates will hear the latest news on the construction equipment market, as well as forecasts, from Peter Marsh of the Financial Times and David Phillips of Off-Highway Research - among other speakers.

The congress will be called Making It In Europe, and it will be held in Berlin from 24 to 26 October 2012.

Peter Marsh, the Financial Times' manufacturing editor, will outline the European economic outlook and will report on developments in industries relating to manufacturing, with a particular focus on the construction sector. David Phillips will forecast likely trends by region over the next five years, and will highlight some of the key factors that will influence companies' future strategies.

Mr Phillips will also introduce the main economic trends that are playing an important role in the demand forecasts for emerging and developing countries. Following that, the Minister of Public Works from Indonesia will present the ministry's vision of the future of construction in his country.

Ralf Wezel, secretary general of CECE, looks forward to welcoming its members and partners to this year's congress.

He said, "This year, more than ever, we have outstanding speakers at the Economic Forum and during the other events scheduled during our congress. CEOs of the major companies of the sector and high level professionals are attending and giving their view of what means to make it in Europe. I think nobody should miss this one."

KHL will again be sponsoring one of the presentations at the congress, with Prof Dr Klemens Skibicki, global expert for online marketing and social media, talking about management of the social media revolution, and why all companies have to understand and handle Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.

The CECE Congress is taking place at the Hilton Hotel in Berlin. More information on the programme and registration can be found at www.cece-congress.eu.
