Cementera acquires Metro Mix, of Denver, and aims to gain market worldwide.
The global cement manufacturer and supplier of concrete and aggregates LafargeHolcim has acquired another company in the United States, following up on its strategic plan “Strategy 2022 - Building for Growth”.
Now, it is Metro Mix, a concrete company in Denver, in the state of Colorado. The company has two ready-mix concrete production plants serving the local market. Denver has posted good growth rates in recent years, and is expected to maintain performance.
This is the fourth company acquired by LafargeHolcim in 2018. The last had also been in the United States, Tarrant Concrete, based in Texas.
“Metro Mix has complementary operations to ours, and this will allow us to gain more market share with immediate commercial and operational synergies,” said LafargeHolcim CEO Jan Jenisch.
